broken cup holder

Two of the spring grips are pressed in and won't come out! Apparently the cup holder is on back order from Germany.

Anyone else have this happen?

I think I've seen one other XBimmer member report this. Can't find the thread though

yea this has happened to me but it is just one of them on the left cup holder. i am fine with it for now i actually think it is better because u can put and take cups out of it easier but it still is secure.

No, and I'm not a fan of the design. In fact none of the German manufacturers seem to get this right for the U.S. driver. I don't think they understand just how much it means to have an excellent cup holder.

I think it's hard for any non-American to comprehend the importance of these things!

I have a nissan pathfinder. The cup holder fits a 32oz nalgene bottle in one hole and a coffee cup in the other. Driving with water and caffeine makes one a safer driver!

The pathy is an outstanding design!

I will say that the times I've left the US, it's hard to stay hydrated. I am not sure how the rest of the world does it? Then again, I don't want to get into a cross-nation debate on this!

Have not had any problem with mine and I use them daily for my Starbucks Coffee mug. But I do not like the design at all.
