Halogen to Xenon upgrade

Hello,

Now that I've learned that the stock Halogen headlights on my 2012 x3 base 28i are upgradable without too much complications to the oem Xenons lights/housing, does anyone/shop in socal do this work for a reasonable cost? I'll have the Xenon parts in hand. Please let me know ASAP~!

it requires coding or reprogramming the car to allow or accept the xenons feature.

Keep us posted as to the final cost, like many projects on BMWs, it starts out cheap and the price goes up quick.

Yes, a bmw service personnel schooled me last week of it adding that it will cost easily in the thousands to have it done in the bmw service which he thought it was ridiculous himself, and obviously I do not have enough experience to do this myself.

Has anyone successfully upgraded themselves or know anyone who are willing to? Thanks again!

I do not think any other parts besides the Xenon lights/housing are needed (which is pretty much an entire front headlight swap) but again, I'm not very sure on the wiring compatibility part. Does anyone one know if it's almost plug and play from Halogen -> Xenon housing with just reprograming?

To start, the light sockets are different, and there is a ballast, so the wiring has to be modified. There is also the issue of connecting the auto leveling and the Adaptive lighting.
