Inexpensive Cargo Carrier
I have a 2012 X3 with the storage package (part of the Premium Package). I needed a better way to keep items from rolling around in the back, so I got a wire basket at Home Depot and attached it to the rails and locks with bungee cords. The basket is easily removed for larger items.

And if you turn it upside down you can transport a cat, small dog or even a few squirrels.
