Iphone4 Bluetooth problems / snap in adapter
Anyone else using iphone4 on Bluetooth for making calls. I have the basic Bluetooth connection package but recently people have said they cannot hear me when I phone as it is too quiet although I can hear them.
Spoke to dealer and have to take it in. They said they sometimes fit a snap in cradle but I can't see how this is the problem. The Bluetooth should work. Anyone got similar issues ? Any pictures of iphone4 snap in cradle ? |

Did you try adjusting the mic volume? During a call you can adjust call and mic volume in the "Tone/Volume Settings" menu.

There is on mine. I've used it. Maybe a US spec thing? The manual entry does have the dreaded * below.
Volume ▷ "Speed volume": speed-dependent volume control. ▷ "PDC": volume of the PDC signal* com‐ pared to the entertainment sound output. ▷ "Gong": volume of the signal, such as the safety belt reminder, compared to the en‐ tertainment sound output. ▷ "Microphone": volume of the microphone* during a phone call. ▷ "Loudspeak.": volume of the loudspeakers* during a phone call. The following volumes are only stored for the respective paired telephone: "Microphone", "Loudspeak.".

I think I've only got the speed, pdc and gong option on mine. Will check tomorrow.
Anyone with euro spec cars got the option as nahoa describes ? Do you have to be on a call before going into menu ? |

Settings - Tones - Volume and then go down to microphone and loudspeaker (below speed and PDC). Mine is on 50% which I assume is the default and I've had no complaints from people I call re. volume. During the call I think +/- just changes the volume of the call in the car, not your mic volume

I have pro media but I'm sure that you don't need it for this . Very odd. I have to scroll down below the greyed out "only when on a call" phone volume setting. Is it definitely not hidden on a page 2 or something? Again, apologies for the stupid suggestions
Not in car now but I think my order is: speed pdc gong phone (greyed out, can't change) microphone loudspeaker

No, no page 2. I just see the first three options and turning the scroll wheel further makes no difference
Is your phone via bluetooth or cradle ? Anyone else with the standard I drive got the phone options |

Bluetooth only paired with an iPhone 3G at the moment.
How annoying . The only other thing you can try is the context Owner's Manual, which should be specific to your version of the iDrive. Try it on all menus that are anything to do with volume. bluetooth or phone
