Personal Experience: X3 M Sport Package with DHP
Folks, I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on an X3 M Package and after all the commentary/ threads on M with/ without DHP, I thought I'd change the conversation to Hands On Experience now that some of you have purchase the M Sport Package with DHP. What's the verdict... is it worth the additional $1300???

Thanks Le Chef,
Believe when you purchase DHP, the Dynamic Damper Control is included in the price. What do you notice about the ride, i.e., DDC vs. standard suspension? |

If you enjoy driving, get it.
If you are a more sedate driver and into comfort over driving dynamics, don't bother. I have it, I enjoy it, but don't use it all that much. It's very much a personal choice thing.

I have Sport Activity Package w/ DHP - while its not M-sport, the handling is identical - Differences between SAP and Msport are cosmetic (MSport adds performance control, but so does DHP)
I love DHP, glad I added it to my X3 the tighter suspension, steering in sport mode gives me the handling i want. I use sport mode set for chassis almost all the time. Definately recommend it especially on a 35i if you can afford it.

Yes, it is worth getting. I use it all the time. Just note, if you use Sport in Chassis+Drivetrain mode, as I do, your gas mileage will suffer. I think right now I'm getting around 16 mpg in mostly city driving. But I appreciate the tighter handling. Be aware, inexplicably, the M Sport does not come with sport suspension, so it's a worthwhile upgrade.

Thanks guys, you made my decision (though I would have like to test drive an X3 with DHP). Yes, I'm definitely getting the X3 35i M Sport, with Carbon Black, oyster interior, Cold Weather I and NOW will add the DHP.
