Currently have an 18" square set up 8j and 245/50 tyres

I want to put a set of bmw style 32's on

Fronts 8j
Rears 8.5j

Can i swap the tyres straight across or due to the rear being very slightly wider
Or will i need to change the profile.

I know on 19s with the fronts being 8.5j and rears 9.5j

You need to run 245/45 front and 275/40 rears due to the x drive / transfer box ( dont quote me on this its just what i have read).

Search Google, etc. for a wheel chart....it will list the Min and Max tire sizes That can be fitted on a given width wheel.

Alternately, look up the specs on your existing tires as the manufacturer should list recommended wheel widths.....or phone a tire retailer.

My search shows:....8.5 inch wheel width accepts 235 to 255 tire width.

Make sure the new wheels have correct Offset for your model car.
