I just put WS80's on the wife's x4 today. Non rft's.
I generally don't like snow/ice winter tires and go performance winters (which I have on my M235xi). She's got different driving needs than me and I thought snow/ice rubber would be best for her. I know the WS80 will do the job in snow. I was pleasantly surprised at how well they drove on dry pavement and highway. Was concerned they'd be way too soft and they weren't at all.

I went with the Pirelli Sottozero Serie II RFT and so far they have done really well. Here in Denver, there was a good amount of snow over the last weekend and the X3 performed like a champ in the snow.
On dry pavement, almost cannot tell the difference from my all season Pirelli tires. I am glad I purchased these. The dealership had a good deal on the tires also. Almost the best price I could find. |

Best winter non-studded/performance tire names are Nokian (R2) and Michelin (X-Ice 3 or 4, if you can get it). I am on my second season of 19" Dunlop Sport 3Ds and am satisfied. |
