Extended Warranty

My wife’s 135i is 3 years old in a few weeks and BMW have sent me an invitation to purchase a years extended warranty - http://www.bmw-warranty.co.uk

Depending on the level of cover and excess chosen it can range from £300 - £480.

Do you think it’s worth it and would you choose to pay an excess?

It include the BMW Emergency Service which is about £150 alone.

For full cover without an excess it costs about £480 … a £100 excess drops it to £420.

No. Don't succumb to the fear of the high BMW maintenance costs. But then again you may be used to it since you list a Jeep Grand Cheerokee as your drive. Remember just tell yourself that any car is only good for what the manufacturer warrants the car. BMW is what, 40 to 50K miles? Trade it in for the new 2013 3 series, test drove one today, totally different car from 2012.
