I would replace with the Nokian's "all weather" as I had excellent results with 3 previous sets. The sizes for me are limited, so sad.

What size do you need? I found that Tiresbyweb.com sells the euro version of the tire in RFT in additional sizes. Of course you might be hard pressed to find a more expensive tire at $336each.

Thank you Mr Mech:

Here is my email response from the US/Can Nokian rep.
"In 245/50R18 we have the WR A3 (all-weather) run-flat available. No G2’s or G3’s are produced in run-flat at this time in that size."

However, this specific tyre does not appear in their product list as being current or discontinued. This matches your link provided. Maybe I should email the rep and confirm, the actual status. Thanks, for the heads up. Nokian from Finland invented the snow tyre! If I had lots of snow here, I would instead get the dedicated Hakka R2 SUV instead, hence the all weather is the better match for my needs.

The other size that I need is discontinued, hence reluctant to buy as replacements can be tricky.

My 2013 x3 35i is wonderful, and I hope you enjoy your 2015 as much as I do mine.

So I was right up to the point of ordering my Bridgestone RE960s on Tirerack when I realized that those tires had a lower load index/speed rating than the Goodyear Eagle LS2s that so don't love. The Bridgestones have a 98W rating in the 245/45 R19 size while the Goodyears are rated at 102H. Coupled with the fact that larger retailers won't install tires with lower ratings should I be concerned? The Bridgestones otherwise appear to be the ideal match for the time being.

I'm tire shopping today and probably going back with the Goodyear LS2s that came on my '13 X3 35i for the following reasons:

- need to turn back in leased vehicles with RFT tires, right?
- I got 38k miles out of them with 1/2 track day. (they are at the wear bars)
- Wife drives the X3 - I'll save ultra high performance tire $ for the M3.
- Very good snow traction - I only put on the snow tires/wheels for really bad weather.
- Load / speed ratings - nothing else on Tire Rack matches the Goodyears.

Unless I missed something. I'll be able to get through my 60,000 mile lease with buying one set of tires and turn it in with some decent tread life left if all goes well. On my older 335i lease, I went through two sets of tire$$$$$$.

My Good Year LS2's have good traction but poor stopping distance. Other than that they are great, with great thread life after 16k km's, but I do not corner fast.

Debating whether to get snows, Nokian hakkapeliitta 2, Blizzaks, or get Winter set from dealer with OEM wheels with Pirellis Sottozero2. Ideally prefer Hakkas with OEM 307 wheels.

check this:
http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tirete....jsp?techid=35

you are looking @ 111# load carrying difference between the goodyear over bridgestone and speed ratings of h rated = 130MPH vs w rated 168 MPH.

so the goodyears allow you to carry a little more weight slower, the bridgestones allow you to carry less weight faster

I have the 960AS RFTs on my 3 series sedan and like them a lot.

When we recently had to replace the 245/45-19 LS-2 OEM tires on my wife's X3 I initially looked at the 960AS RFTs. But I was concerned about the lower load rating so instead bought the Michelin Primacy MXM4 ZP (RFT) all seasons. So far so good.

Ah thanks for that info! I later checked with the guys at Tirerack and they said that the load ratings are fine based on the gross vehicle weight (including passengers and cargo). Turns out that the load rating is still about 400 lbs. over the acceptable load per tire so I went ahead and ordered a set. They're back-ordered at the time being so I should have some time to ponder it further. I guess the tipping point may be if I ever decide to tow a boat or something with a tongue weight greater than 800 or so pounds but given the fact I have no hitch that does not seem likely.

you are not going to tow anything more than 5000# with the invisahitch, or 3500# with the BMW OEM hitch. I have the OEM Hitch and tow 3000# boat and trailer.

Hitch Classes

•Class I - up to 2,000 pounds gross trailer weight, 200 pounds maximum tongue weight

•Class II - up to 3,500 pounds gross trailer weight, 350 pounds maximum tongue weight

•Class III - up to 5,000 pounds gross trailer weight, 500 pounds maximum tongue weight

•Class IV - up to 12,000 pounds gross trailer weight, 1,200 pounds maximum tongue weight

If you're asking me, then no I haven't received the tires yet. They're back-ordered until November...Still sticking with the Bridgestone RE960AS RFTs given the positive reviews it got on Tirerack's RFT comparo (I'm all for RFT's that ride more like regular tires).

Had those on my 3 series as well, great tires except they leaked air in any change of temperature.

I have the goodyear LS-2 as well only 12k miles on the car but they have horrible stopping distance, in the rain they seem ok haven't tested in puddles or heavy rain yet.

The Cinturato P7 are rated #2 from tire rack & goodyear LS-2 #30, and they're in the 2015 F25 as well.
