I was just curious - does the 28i with M Sport package include the paddle shifters? I thought I read somewhere that the paddle shifters were not available on the 28i and there is no mention of them in the build configurator, but in the pic they are there.

Can someone clarify?

According to the BMW X3 "Standard and Optional Equipment" brochure (revised March 2012), paddle shifters come with either the Sport Activity package or the M Sport package — but only with the 35i.

Of course, BMW's literature isn't always accurate!

I think they just started putting them on within the last couple months. Maybe someone with a 28i that was just built can comment.

I just received mine Friday 08/17/12 with the sports activity option and it does not have the paddles.
