Get X3 in service three times for stiff steering wheel, now get the report is:

25992 FOUND THAT THE VEHICLE HAD THE EPS SERVOTRONIC ACTIVATION CODE CANCELLED THE LAST TIME THE VEHICLE WAS PROGRAMMED.

Is that a mistake or something deliberate change?

Sounds fishy to me! Why would someone deliberately ignore a problem hoping it would go away on its own. Talk to the service manager and raise hell.
