Any experience with BMW retrofit navigation?

I got an email from BMWNA about a retrofit navigation system they are now selling. Total for the kit is about $870 before installation and would be covered by the factory warranty.

Anyone have any experience wit this kit? Does it have to be installed by the dealer or does it come with installation instructions so I can install it myself?

It says it has lifetime free map updates.

part #'s for the system are
65902410422 (Integrated Nav Kit)
65902410426 (Wiring Harness Kit)
65902410423 (Controller kit)
