Just Ordered, Getting Lucky on Production
We just put in the order for our X3 two days ago, and the dealer had one that was already at the '112' production status that he could reconfigure. As of this afternoon, BMW's site is showing production has started with all the right options. (We were expecting production next week, so this seems a little too early to be true, but we'll take it!)
We're doing the Performance Center pickup, and we just got confirmed for August 29th. August is going to feel like a very long month! Since this is our first BMW we're probably going to get caught up in the excitement quite a bit. Does the Performance Center have a shop where I can convince my wife to let me buy various BMW merchandise? Or should I be ordering online and trying to sneak it into the luggage for the week-long trip home? |

See build spec online?
My wife's car is scheduled for production next week and that seems to be confirmed online, but I can't see the spec to make sure it's correct. When does the site show the spec of the vehicle to be produced and is there time to catch any errors in the spec?

You need to get the order sheet from your CA. Once it enters production there are no changes so if there is a mistake it is too late. My dealer required me to sign off on the order sheet. Better check before entering production. You dont see what was order until it actually in production and by the time it you see it come up online already well into production.
