N20 Break in?

I read the owners manual and it says: after 1,400 miles you can Gradually increase speed for the n20.

On the n55 I waited until 5000 miles before I had fun

So yea kinda confused what is the true break in for the car 1,400 miles or 5000 miles ?. I really want drive the car like I stole it

I would just follow the owners manual. I've also heard ~1500 miles so that sounds about right. The most I've heard is 2000 miles for some of the M cars, 5000 is way too much.
