Ordering 245/45-19 and 275/40-19 for 2012

Somewhere I read that you cannot do this but can't find it. I think I have seen the term staggered used for this setup. For 2011, based on a pricing sheet, I see 2B7 as the option. If you get the SAP, can you do this for 2012? If I have a set of winter tires/wheels, why not get this staggered setup for summer's. Price difference for the different size tires is small. For those that have the Pirelli's what is the miles life expectancy of the tire?

I got the upgraded wheels on my car (style 306 I think?) It is the tire sizes you are talking about. Mine came with Continentals that I am quite happy with. I have just under 13k miles on my car and I have about 4-5/32 left of tread so I am actually thinking I might get 20k+ miles on these tires which would make me quite happy...

The replacements tires on tire rack are anywhere from $1400-$1600 it seems which is quite pricey.

In Europe we have 245 at front and 275 at rear wheels. I have seen lots of pics with M- Package in USA and i think that your rear tires are too small to be 275 , am i correct that you have 245 at rear in USA?

The US X3 35i with the wheel upgrade or M package has 19" wheels with 245/45 and 275/40 up front. The M package wheels do look really small for some reason...

The basic X3 35i has 18" wheels with 245's all around.

Msport 245's all the way round... US

I purchased an 2012 35i M-Sport and got 245/45/19's all the way around. When I purchase new tires, I'm going to put 275/40/19s on the back.

Can you put the 275/40 tires on the wheels that the smaller tires were on?
