Reasonable Price for 2012 X3 35i
Gentlemen, I've been following this site for months and I'm finally ready to pull the trigger on my first BMW, in this case, for my wife. We're looking at the X3 35i with the Premium, Tech, Premium Sound, & Cold Weather I&II packages. With Destination, we're at $52,575. I've seen posts boasting of pricing as good as $850 over invoice for longtime customers. What can a new customer expect to pay for a model speced as above? I'm in an area of Upstate NY with 2 BMW dealers so not as much competition as, say, Southern CA. I'm looking for a fair price and not worried about beating the dealer out of every last nickel but I don't want to be robbed.

I just order an xDrive35i on Saturday and including the rebates currently being offered ($455 for the power tailgate and $500 for leasing), I ended up at only $45 over invoice. I didn't even do much negotiating...I'm actually terrible at it!

If you do not mind cross-MA driving (I-90), give Alex Dytko of BMW of Peabody, MA a call. Tell him I recommended him. He will work with you on the price, I promise. He is a large volume dealer and he has a room to negotiate.

My dealer gave me $800 over invoice. I purchased my 135i from him a couple of years ago.
I qualify for the $1000 loyalty discount and the $500/$450 credits also...so I'm pretty happy overall. |
