2 Questions: Music Folders on USB Stick and Tuning New DAB Stations
i all,
Anyone know how to read Music Folders on the F25 X3 via USB STick? I've got a few folders with different styles of songs on a memory stick, but the I-drive system will only read the MP3 songs in the Root of the memory stick. I don't want to import the songs into the internal storage, I just want to play them direct from the USB stick. Even cheap portable MP3 players have the ability to transition folders. Secondly, how do you do a scan for NEW Dab Stations? There has been a few new national radio stations launched in the past few days, which I can receive fine at home on a Portable DAB player by doing a SCAN. How do you do a scan for NEW DAB stations on the X3 F25? I checked in the menus, the station doesn't appear in the list and I can't see any SCAN for NEW options... Thanks |

It may depend on what audio option you have, I can select he folder and drill down... only have the base audio (not the business or pro).
When you got to the top of the list of DAB stations and select ensembles that appears to list all stations?

Not sure why you can't. I can't imagine theres an option to check/de-check to allow that. Are you sure the files are there and in readable format? My thumb drives are all NTFS format rather than FAT32....although I can't imagine that making a difference. Maybe try deleting and reloading on your USB? Try another thumb drive to see if you have the same problem. |

Format the stick using the "default partition", i assune it's from a win 7/8/10 pc?
Then create your folders on the root Rock Pop Indy Classical Reggae etc And drop your mp3's in. If that doesn't work, try a different stick |

Agreed. Also there are issues with some manufacturers USB sticks. Add to that, the software version of the cars media has a bearing with some cars unable to read above 32gb. It is all hit and miss. I prefer the word messy.

I agree, my 1/2014 X3 doesn't like the only 64g USB drive I have (either FAT32 or NTFS), so I am on the lookout for the latest audio/usb/bluetooth firmware, or I will have to wait for my next trip to the dealer. 32B FAT32 works fine in the meanwhile.
