Hi Chopper45, almost same as you, inside color is saddle brown. It makes inside brighter. The Sophisto grey is a pure beauty color under the sun light, I don't regret my choice

Enjoy your trip to and from Italy and tell us all about how good your car was afterwards! Looking forward to hear!

By then, I hope my "drunk" captain has got his boat into Zeebrugge.....
Thanks Jypsie, It was a nice trip. I left the dealer and drove directly to Milano. Stayed there 3 days for business, then drove to Modena for dinner. And drove back to Switzerland last Saturday via the lovely Alpine road "Grand St Bernard" under a beautifull weather. And so I did 1'400km in less than 5 days! Pictures to be posted in the new thread "Official X4 M ..." that I started a few minutes ago here is the link : http://x3.xbimmers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1036024

Did you get yours?

My dealer told me that my car was produced this week and now is awaiting transport to Europe. It will be a long time waiting for it...
Thanks FarNorth, the X3 is a great car too. It is just more practical than the X4.

Hi Tjalle, I do go to Italy very often, so I m used to there highway driving style. What I was less used is there way to drive in Cities.... In Milano it was a nightmare, but the X4 survived to it!

Full report on it's way.

Thanks for all your comments.

Yes! Status code 292 which seems to mean "delivered at dealership".
:happy anim:
Will go and see them this evening before going home and figure out what paperwork still needs to be done, although I know.....
:c lap:

Car needs to be subscript in order to get license plate, then insurance follows immediately after. This will take a couple of days and Friday I leave for the Czech Rep for a week, unfortunately this will very likely be with my old X3. We will see.

The good thing is: it's only days now, the bad this is PAPERWORK!

Yep, the car is there! I have seen her!

Still wrapped up in plastic, but she definitely arrived and is in good shape.

Paperwork is being done now, license plates on their way, etc...

Unfortunately I will not have my car to go to he Czech Rep end of the week

But she will be waiting for me on the 29th!

Order to delivery to the dealer in exactly 2 months!

SANK: They are even worse in Torino: red light means red only if there is polizia around.
Waiting for report about performance and handling.

Aie then you dealer was a little bit lazy. Mine organized everything in order to delivery me the car the same day it arrived at dealer. The picture I took from the truck, it was this truck which brought my car to the dealer.

Yes that is true, Italians and red lights doesn't fit together. However I prefer this to what I experienced in Milano with Roms begging for money at red lights...

No, in Belgium the dealer could not do more, we need the official papers of the car before we can request a license plate..... Matter of fact is that the dealer would have given me next week to pick up my car as they know what needs to happen. I had more details on the delivery ( I knew when the car came off the ship, I even saw the car being unloaded from the truck as I pass by the dealer every morning....) so they only told me the care arrived and asked me if I wanted to see her .....Which I did.... dealer did a perfect job. Now just counting the days before I am back home picking her up. Fly fishing in Czech Rep for the time being..... not bad neither
Pick up date is 29th now, I know license plates are on the car now.... :happy anim:

Hello Tjalle , there was a drivers license but it was free of exams or lessons , you just had to go to the authorities of your hometown and pay some handling costs . My mother who is now 75 was one of the first who had to take lessons but no exams neither , my father who passed away and would be 81 now got it for free . I myself did the exams and practical tests and they are still standard

Hi Jypsie,
Ok I understand it is similar to France, Plates remain with car, and not like in Switzerland where it remains with the driver.
Cool Holidays in Czech Rep, fishing Praha sirens?????

thx for your very useful information. Now I understand better what I saw 20-25 years ago in Mégève (French Alps). It was in February (winter time), I was walking uphill in a street covered by a little bit of snow with my parents. In U Turn, we saw an Opel Senator. The RWD Opel driving uphill too. The driver trying to make some inches more, but without success. Of course something was strange. The driver was putting gas, the Rear Wheels were running "full power", the car was almost stuck and not any more moving. What was wrong? the snow chains were installed on the front wheels.... When we saw that the car had Belgium plates, we said "OK that's Belgian's drivers"... And we had a good laugh.
Of Course, today I presume Belgians drivers are better. They take the planes

Just curious, may car was available to be driven 1 week after it arrived at the dealer, why 10-12 days for you? That's a long time.....

So, today my dealer called and said that my car had probably left Bremerhaven en route to Sweden (Halmstad) after the voyage over the atlantic ocean.

I were never able to track it on the W&W website - Dunno why, but probably because it was shipped w another carrier or it was just stowed away in some rust bucket and they didn't want to worry me.
It got production status:
182 - Released to carrier
a week ago and from what I've learned here, that tells me that the car had arrived in Bremerhaven?
Maybe it will be an early christmas present?
