I picked up my new 2013 35i on Tuesday (ordered 3/10, production 4/4, at dealer 4/13, delivery 4/17), and here are my first impressions and a few quick pics. I got the following options:
2013 X3 35i Space gray metallic Black Nevada leather Fineline wave wood Sports activity package Cold weather package Dynamic handling package Premium package Premium sound Tech package BMW apps This is my first BMW, and so far I'm not disappointed. The overall fit-and-finish is pretty good. The power of the N55 is really impressive. I don't notice any of the infamous throttle lag, so maybe BMW has finally got the software worked out. The dynamic damper control does an admirable job over rough roads. It's quite a bit smoother than my previous car (Infiniti G37x coupe, maybe not a fair comparison). Wind noise is definitely noticeable at highway speeds, but not distractingly so, and it's less than my Infiniti. I'm still learning all of the bells-and-whistles (iDrive does take some getting used to for a first timer), but so far I'm loving it! And here are a few pics. Kudos on scoring your new X3. She's a beaut. As good as they are, I'm sure the pics don't do it justice.

One other thing I forgot to mention. I don't find auto start/stop nearly as annoying as I thought I would. It really does restart very quickly, though you definitely notice the starting. I thought I would try a week without disabling it to see if I could live with it. I figured after that I'd want to disable it every time by default. Now I'm not so sure. |

Quick question for other US owners. The manual mentions a first aid kit and warning triangle in the rear left side cubby, but all that's in there is the tool kit. Does it not come with a first aid kit in the US? I did a quick search, and some others mentioned that they didn't get one either. Just seems odd, and the manual doesn't mention regional differences.

Never bought a car in "Bridgewater", only groceries at Kings Food Market! Lived in Peapack-Gladstone for a few years. Still remember standing behind John Delorean at the pizza place! Congrats on the X3, great color(same as mine, of course). No First Aid or Triangle included |
