B47 2016 X3 Drivetrain malfunction. EGR?
Hello,
My pal has 2016 2.0d X3 on 28,000 miles which has started to go into limp mode. Car gets used every day and does about 50-60 mile round trip daily. I have cleared all error codes, he drove it for a day or two and i rechecked and this is the 2 codes i got; 244C00 - Boost pressure control, control error: boost pressure too low 28DE00 - Exhaust presure sensor upstream of the turbine plasuibility Now i cleared the codes and took it for a drive to see if i could noice anything, and the only thing i can feel is what can be described as a light missfire at when accelirating, but it doesnt bring on the EML right away, if i left foot brake and load the engine up i can get the EML on right away and the code that pops up is 244C00, the second code must return after a bit of driving. I looked at the airfilter incase it was clogged, cant hear any boost looks or see any black resadue indicating a leak, but just wondering if anyone has anything else to look for? carbon build up did cross my mind but at 28000 and no DPF issues i cant see it being that. Are the EGR valves known to fail on these engines? Regards Jack |
