I just installed an Android 10 12.3 inch screen in my BMW X3 F25. I like how it looks more than the 10.25 in screens because it doesnt have that exposed plastic bezel. It is 4GB RAM and 64GB ROM. It can do split screen for 2 apps. You long press the menu button to toggle between the iDrive system and the Android System. Nice thing about it is that the iDrive and steering whee buttons also work while in the Android system.

I bought it from AliExpress and it did not come without issues. Initially, my iDrive, Steering Wheel and Radio buttons were not working after installation. However, after 3 weeks of communicating with the seller, they linked me with an engineer and he asked me to cut some wires and splice them into some other wires. Now it works perfectly.

i’ll try to attach a picture of the wiring mod the engineer asked me to do. If i can’t attach, it is in the video around 6 minutes onwards

You might want to go back and fix your wiring. Masking tape is not electrical tape. Your connections should ideally be soldered and heat shrinked.

There is electrical tape under the masking tape. I placed the masking tape just for labels

Just note the trouble I had with the wiring. The code for the factory setup is 123456.

Hi, i recently bought a 12.3 inch Android for my X3 and lucky didn't have audio issues, but are having issues with the system connecting to a wifi connection and did your come with a sim or is it possible to put your own in so you don't have to worry about wifi?

how is the audio quality through Aux, and do you use carplay or Android auto?

The audio through the Aux is alright although it's been acting weird it will be on then the sound will completely cut out like it's muted and can't get it back unless i restart system or power off . Android auto but easyconnection as android auto doesn't seem to want to work don't know why use a samsung s10+ to connect to it.

I am close to pulling the trigger on one of these units, but the fact that I have to plug it into the aux port for audio kind of bothers me, would rather a more seamless solution without any external connections. I will probably not do it and wait until I upgrade my vehicle someday.
