tranny, transfer case, engine?

OK, so my first gear at parking lot speed is horrendously long..... feels like it hangs.... and then Jolts into 2nd. Not EVERY time, but often enough it has my attention.

Pulling out into traffic almost feels like there's a little stutter while it tries to figure out what to do, shifts into 2nd pretty abruptly... and then is fine once up to speed.

I had it at the dealership last month, oil change, spark plugs and coils (48k miles), and they told me that they recorded 40+ misfires on cyl-3 while on the test drive / replaced that coil again, and said I was good to go.

No CEL before or after the shop visit, but the way the stutter feels when pulling out into traffic, I'm curious if I'm still experiencing a cylinder misfire, but no warning or alerts have been activated.

Not sure if two separate issues, or if related in any way?
Anybody have any ideas, or have experienced the same?

I don't think misfires would affect shifting like that. I get that crazy long 1st gear that throws it into 2nd on cold start. The very next 1st->2nd shift is fine. I actually feel like the car idles through parking lots extremely well, not too fast and clunky like my last car w/ a DSG.
The only thing I could think of doing would be a transmission adaptation reset through ISTA but it really shouldn't need that

+1, my car behaves in very similar fashion, seemed to always have on 1st cold shift out of first gear. 95K on the clock, new ZF tranny fluid service done at about 75K miles.

2012 model year car with N52 normally aspirated engine.

Thanks for the input so far..........

Our 2017 F25 performed much better at lower rpms.... which is why I'm confused by how this 2016 model is performing. Definitely not apples to apples... unless maybe it's granny smith versus red delicious perhaps...

+1

did my zf trans fluid, front and rear diff fluids, and transfer case fluid

after the above, it no longer feels "jerky" when it shifts.

I did same services, did not notice any change in tranny shifting but did note cars slight crabbing at very low speed (pulling into garage) disappeared. Think that was remedied by transfer case fluid/reset adaptions.
