Does anyone start making the black grill for F25 X3? We have been waiting for it for SO LONG!

The BMW Euro grills for the 20D and the 30D are black and can replace the NA "silver" grills on any 2011 or 2012 F25.

P/N 5111 723 7421 & 5111 723 7422

It's so funny that our European friends are willing to pay more to add shiny grills and the NA owners are lusting for black grills.
I guess the "grass is always greener" on the other side of the pond, or maybe we all want what we can't have.

A cooperative US dealer's parts dept. manager MAY be able to order them, but some European parts (usually special performance parts) are not allowed in the US through normal dealer's channels. This should not apply to plastic body parts, but who knows?

Alternately, you might contact one of the many UK or European Forum Members here and ask for a recommendation of a good dealership to contact for a direct purchase.

Finally, you could ask if any European Forum member might want to trade their black grills for your shiny chrome ones and work a swap.

Each side of the grill is independent, so you can also just switch one and have a truly unique X3.

Thank you! I will check with Tischer to see if they carry it, or I can just wait for the official performance parts or aftermarket parts available. I am sure will be soon!

BMW stated Germany is working on them and should be released sometime in the 1st quarter of 2012! We'll have 'em on special as soon as we can get them!

Count me in for the black grill. The white front turn signal lamp would be nice also!

Are there any pics of what the rear fog light looks like (when on) on the car?

I recevied a response from Jason already and more than likely a no-go for the switch here in the US. BMW actually stopped selling the Euro switch for the e90 several months ago.

Watch the first video in this thread and you'll see it in action:

3.0d UK Grill is Silver

6 cylinder models in UK are silver (I think across the BMW range). 4 pot models have black slats but chrome surrounds.

So 3.0d and 3.5d are silver and 2.0d are black. It's a subtle way of knowing what is under the bonnet of a de-badged BMW!
