Problem with film on all windows

This might sound like a real silly question and please don't tell me to clean them :

Has anyone noticed that the windows seem to, overnight, develop an uneven film (smear like) on the inside. Driving the next day against the sun is a pain as it lights up like crazy.

My previous 335d and 330d never did that. I clean them nearly daily with window cleaner and then finish it of with a microfiber cloth but I'm kind of picky with the inside of my windows and I must say that it has become annoying to do them everyday to every 2 days. My last cars including my current second car, a Nissan Note only needed to have the windows cleaned maybe once a month.

I remember 70s American and Japanese cars having that problem because of some fumes released by the plastics, especially if the car was left in the sun for awhile. Mine is always in a garage except for the actual driving.

Any ideas?

No, no odor, just the windows that get dirty from the inside.

If you have an antifreeze odor you better have it checked ASAP - this cannot be healthy.

ah, the car has a warranty.

The reservoir for the anitfreeze is located at the base of the windshield on the firewall. I assumed I was getting a bit of odour from some minor overflow.

Anyway, I've wiped the inside of my windows about 3 times since I got the my car in May.

cars have a lot of plastic, plus the leather, it oxides adn thus the film. I leave my windows down on my car in the garage and it helps but they all do it. just get a big container of invisible glass and keep wiping
