Reversible boot floor

How does the hook come off the clip, so you can hang open the reversible boot floor? Does it just pull off, I don't want to break it.

Thought the same thing first time I tried it. Just pulls out and snaps back into place.

To remove, a twisting motion seemed to work best for me.
