I finally made a decision!

I went to the dealership in Colorado today and laid eyes on my destiny! A vermillion red X3! It was love at first sight! I would have never in a million years thought about that color, but when I saw it I knew I had to have the X3 and I have to have THAT color! YES! Finally! Sorry, Audi!

No pictures = Didn't happen

Seriously, congratulations. I think you made a great choice.

What interior color/trim are you getting with that? Also, what options are you going with?

okay, this is only half the battle...now deciding on the interior! I really want oyster, but just don't think it fits our lifestyle! I know beige probably doesn't seem like a viable option either then, but for some reason I feel like that might work better for us. Black is in the back of my mind, but I feel like it makes the interior feel a bit smaller. Here's what the order will look like...which should be placed next week when I'm back home.

28i
Vermilion Red/Sand Beige/wave wood
conv/prem/sport pkgs
heated seats/steering wheel
Nav
park distance control

I think that is going to be fantastic.

The only thing I would suggest would be the darker wave wood trim. I think it offers better contrast with the sand beige leather. But this is obviously just my personal taste. Your X3 is going to be great.

Yep, I think you are right. The fineline looks better with the oyster.

Oyster is a great color but as you've mentioned it doesn't fit your lifestyle, or most people for that matter. Beige might work but the lighter the color the easier it'll get scuffed, jeans are the bane of light leathers. I know that black is in the back of your mind but oyster and beige are the two easiest to dirty so perhaps either mojave, black, or chestnut with a greyish roofliner (standard in the car).

Congrats! Good choice... Vermillion red on the new X3 is amazing. I saw 2 at my local dealer when they came in to be picked up, and they look so great in person, pics can't really capture the look. One had oyster/wavewood, the other black/wavewood, they both looked great with the red.

I might have concidered this color myself but didn't want 2 red cars in the driveway

Good choice! Nice color combo too. I think you will enjoy this ride much more than the Q5.

I got a jet black / chestnut so I like the chestnut, but would wonder if the red tone in chestnut would clash with a red exterior.
