Reboot I-Drive in X4??

Hi Everyone. Does anyone know how to reboot the IDrive in our X4's? I tried the way I use to reboot it in my X3 by holding down the volume/ mute button and also tried holding down the eject and volume button down and nothing. I think with the new iDrive BMW might have changed the way to reboot it. Anyone know what the new way to reboot the iDrive is?

Curious to know, why do you want to reboot if I ask?

My I drive been having issues were the bottom of the instrument cluster ( not the nav display) starts up when the car does, it gets to the point were it shows the BMW lines but doesnt show anything else. So no odometer, miles etc. Wanted to see if a reboot would clear it up. Only happened a few times.

I would take to dealer to reset, when saw my car on arrival it has some limp mode where idrive is off, comfort access doesn't work and they program it.

^just hold it even longer than a min, sometimes it can take a very long time. Hold it until it restarts could be 1+ min

Did 3 min and it didn't reboot. Was your engine on when you rebooted it?

Just tried it with engine on, and it didnt reboot. In my X3 I can do it with the engine on or off, not sure why the X4 is having an issue.

I don't do any coding. So does that mean in the new version of I-drive they disabled an easy way for us owners to reboot it?
