They are both made on the same line so they are almost certainly all the same leather colour (chesnut and red/brown).
Im sure the difference in the photos is lighting??? (they do look very different) Shocking that none of the dealers seem to have leather or trim samples

Looking at where the trim is on the door, I don't think you will have any issues with the seatbelt buckle hitting the aluminum trim it when it retracts. The trim is much lower and longer on the E92 so the buckle hits the trim a lot.

Looks much better with no flash. Would be good with Alpine White and probably mineral or titanium silver too but still a little too red for me

Weird. There are basically three different colors here on this thread for the 'same' color.
Still, it seems to be much more red than the bmw website, regardless of which picture you look at. |

Confident that the above photos represent the production color? Aren't they from the very early prototype photos series? (Based on the covers on the dash and door panels.) Maybe the color changed as they moved to production?

So my dealer tells me my car would go in production in feb so now I think I'm leaning towards the chestnut/ fine line.is it more red or brown? How does it compare with the terra from the e90? more red or more brown?
