Tell us more about the cars and coffee meets in Red Bank?
Thank you! I picked up a new lens specifically to shoot the show, loved it... Hopefully you are not the guy holding up the iPad to take pics.

As for Red Bank, we typically meet on the 2nd Saturday of the month at The Grove on Rt. 35. People usually start arriving around 8:30 and it goes until about 11am or so. Lots of Porsches, and a decent number of Ferraris usually show up. Stole this from an older thread:

Quote:
Time: 8:30AM - 10:30AM
Date: Saturday July 9th
Place: The Grove in Shrewsbury (there is a Starbucks)
Address: 597 Route 35 Shrewsbury, NJ 07702

We had a nice showing last time with some new faces from here on FChat as well as from the Jersey Shore PCA. Let's keep growing...

A few requests:
1) We park in the row of parking spaces which runs alongside Hwy 35N. By parking further away from the Starbucks we won't mix as easily with wide car drivin', SUV luvin' shoppers and coffee seekers. Added potential bonus - folks driving past in nice cars should see us more easily and stop. Hello Gallardo and 599GTB drivers!
2) Please obey all posted speed, traffic and parking signs.

Let's try to make this gathering a little less random - still very casual but less random. The second Saturday of every month has been suggested, with the third Saturday a "rain date" of sorts.

Spread the word! I look forward to seeing the normal crew again and hopefully some new faces and neat cars.

M3 and m6 coupe were the best looking. Though the interior of the 7 series is ridiculously nice.

is it just me? I sat in the Frozen Silver M5 at the show and it felt kinda boring. I felt like i was sitting in another 528. a car that is M5 status at close to $100k should look and feel different inside and out but this wasn't the case...

All of these pictures were taken using a Canon 16-35mm f/2.8 L II on a 60D body. This was actually my first time using this lens and being able to go that wide (even on the crop body 60D) was crucial to get decent shots once the crowds arrived.
Glad you liked them!

I was using auto WB. Check this site out for more specific info:

My 2007 Z4 Coupe had a quarter inch thick pad on top of the center console that you could kind of call an armrest I think. Both stick shift BMWs with no center armrest. My current 135i has a wonderful armrest though.
im well aware of that fact (no arm rest in previous bmw's) but there is a reason that they changed it between then and now and idk if its just me i have never been comfortable sitting in a car without a center arm rest. its like the e46 having the window controls surrounding the gear selector it just one of those things that don't make sense to me, why separate all the buttons when usually i would put down 2 windows at a time. sorry for the rant but its a juke and in the end doesn't really effect me i wish wish i understood the reasoning behind not wanting a center armrest or at least one for each seat.

i forgot to add i8 is gorgeous...
