Winter wheels
Hey guys/gals,
Any suggestions on a reasonable winter wheel/tire combo? I've got the 20" 310 wheels with all season tires and would prefer not to destroy them this winter. |

Buy up oem 18s or 17s that are factory fit to the X3. There are also a lot of used winter packages for the 7 series and 5GT. Those two vehicles use the same size tire as the X3, though offsets may be different.

The OEM wheels, 304, 305 & 306 will fit 28i and not fit 35i, 35d ( see USA & Germany website), dealer says the front brakes are larger on 35. Hence for 35, 18" V spoke 307.
Last year Can price was $3653 (no TPMS) Whereas US price $2796 with TMPS & installed. I would go for OEM winter t/w package in say Sept. In Canada the dealer says the package is appx $1500 to $2k cheaper as a set. I prefer the safety of an OEM wheel rather than cheaper knock offs. Peace of mind and safety. |
