I did the water pump on the X3 at the start of the year, and replaced the coolant tank and cap at the same time. I had some leaking from the tank, which appears to be from the sensor on the bottom. No evident cracks in the tank.

The tank/cap have about 70K miles on them. I'm thinking i should just toss them in the trash, but I don't know if the tank could be salvaged by replacing the O rings on the sensor, or if maybe someone wants the cap.

If you think you could use it, let me know, and I'll work out a price that basically covers shipping. If it's completely worthless, then i'll just toss.

Yeah, just the cap is fine. It might take until tomorrow afternoon (maybe tonight), but I'll package it up and figure out the shipping, but probably like $5 or something like that.

Tank is garbage, cap salvageable

if you ever plan to buy another tank in the future from FCP Euro, this spare would be a good one to send to them under warranty.
