Rusty Suspension and CV joint

Dear fellow X3ers,

Is it normal to have rusty suspension and CV joint for just one year old X3(28i) with normal driving?

Below are a few quick photos.

Rust protection for 2006 and newer models.
For 2006 and newer models, we also provide a 12-year limited warranty rust perforation warranty without mileage limitation. This warranty is for defects in materials or workmanship that results in rust perforation of the vehicle body. This coverage period begins at the start of the New Vehicle/SAV Limited Warranty.

lol I thought it was for the parts, but sadly its only for the vehicle body :X

Don't worry about it, it's not hurting anything for those parts to rust. If the body or frame starts to rust away (read: holes) then that's where the warranty comes in.

That's absolutely normal on these type of parts. I don't think you'll find any cars that have it different. It's like the disks on the brakes that rust if the car was wet and hasn't been driven in awhile. This type of rust is superficial and will not go through.

Definitely normal.

The rust protection only covers situations when rust actually eats a HOLE in a body panel. Even surfface rust on a body panel would not be covered by that 12 yr corrosion warranty.
