Hi Guys,

Thanks for heaving me on this forum.

I'm getting ready to receive my 3.0d X3 F25 in 10 days, prod. date 28-10-2013.
The car was in stock so I have no involvement about original configuration. Since it's built in with S609A Navigation system Professional and S6NHA Hands-free with USB interface ONLY , I would like to try coding it for streaming wireless audio/enhanced Bluetooth if possible.
I have not seen the car yet then I don't know if there is any combox built in.
Already read pretty much all the posts regarding coding 6NH to 6NR or similar, but not to sure where about to order the ENET cable (OBD II ?), where to find E-SYS software 3.24.3 with EST token and Pin, psdzdata 52.2,
Do I need a retrofit unit or not, considering year of built (HU_CIC or HU_NBT) ? Some of you are saying that if 6NH is built in, there is no combox in the car?!
Any help, advice or PM is much appreciated, thank you.

Your car with 609 should have NBT Head Unit, which has builtin Combox.

You need to replace the Contoller, add / wire in the Handwriting Module, and then Code NBT:

ZBE_TOUCH = aktiv
ZBE_TOUCH_BROWSER = aktiv

The Controller is a straight swap, with a connector. Disconnect old one, and plug in new one.

Ok. It is the Handwriting Module (TBX module) that you need to splice / wire in.

Do I need to buy some extra cables for connection tbx with iDrive touch.

TBX should come with 4 wires on it. Power, Ground, CAN+, and CAN-. Just need to splice them in.

I have the cable and all the software loaded on my laptop thanks to excellent help of the major contributors to this forum. No one in the Syracuse area has responded to another post for someone in this area that has done this before so I am going to to do it myself.

I would appreciate help with the following questions as I obviously want to minimize the chance of screwing something up.

1-Please verify tire pressure and temperature requre changing parameter in two modules: HU_CIC and NU_NBT. In both modules the parameter is RCD_SAFETY.

2-Please verify the digital mph display is a single parameter in module KOMBI. The parameter is BC_DIGITAL_V

3-Please verify to use GPS speed (instead of an analog input) change parameter BC_V_KORREKTUR in the KOMBI module.

4-What is the module/parameter for having the fog lights remain on when the high beams are on?

I am only interested in the four functions listed above although I would very much like to also find what controls the time delay to off for the rear window heater. I wonder what the German is for "Rear Window" and if there is a way for searching for these words. I have not yet used the software yet so I do not know if there is a search function that will globally search through all the modules for these words.

That said, I do not think speed calculation is actually GPS based. I am sure like any other electronic speedometer, it works on drive shaft rotation, which should then mirror a GPS speed calculation based on doppler shift.

4) In F10 it is FRM => NSW_AUS_BEI_FL = nicht_aktiv/ Not sure about F25.

Yes, E-Sys has a search bar, but understand it works only from top down (so always start at top of CAFD) and make sure you have no leading or trailing spaces in your search term.

OK, Due to the outstanding guide at the beginning of this article, I had no problem working my way ready to alter the codes and found I need a PIN number. Where does one find this all important PIN number please?

Was very frustrating to get to third base, so to speak, and not make it home.

You need a Token solution (Token with PIN and Patch).

What E-Sys version are you using and where did you get it?

Received cable and all software on a USB memory device from April One earlier this week. Using E-Sys 3.24.3 and PsdZData 52.2. I installed it all manually instead of using the automated installer on the USB memory device without any problem. Everything works fine, backed up the original files and tried to modify a code when it asked for the PIN. It is obviously reading the patch because it knows my name and the expiration date. Checked all emails, messages on this board, and various files on the USB memory device but could not find the PIN.
