Mine is in for a warranty fix up today. The rubber seal around the driver door was not put on right from the factory. So was squished and out of shape.

Where I am depends on the day Roders.

Long time lurker, first time poster.

Just some information on actual delivery times that I experienced. I placed the order at Oakleigh BMW (the new one with an incomplete showroom) on the 8th of June 2011 and just received a call today to say it has just landed. I assume it arrived on the "Aniara" according to this:

So departing Savannah, GA on the 18th July, it will definately be a 2011 plate model. The estimated delivery on the Contract of Sale said October 20th and I was hoping I would get a 2012 plate (September production run), but alas, that is not to be.

So 2.5 months is not bad considering it was initially estimated at 5 months.

FYI, 20d, white, 18", no other options. Corporate discount with 4 years free servicing for under $70K. I think I did alright.

Wow, that is quick delivery, especially for a 2.0d! Maybe going for pretty standard has helped you there.

I finally got my target delivery date as end September. Said to arrive in Port Kembla at the 15th, although no such date on the schedule the link above points to. Ah well, cool with that, at least it is not too far away now.

It must come down to timing and what production slots your dealer has open at the time you place your order. Ordered our 30d in May and picked it up last week. Net time between order and delivery was 1 week short of 3 months.

Getting a X3 in Perth, and just got a call saying that the car will arrive in mid october.

But when I track the car on the tracking page, it says that it will arrives in Fremantle on Sept 15.

Reading through previous post, it seems people are getting it in less than 10 days after discharge. Do you guys remember how long it took between the ship landing, and the car getting discharged?

Mine took 15 days. My understanding was that a fair bit of that time was the process of going through customs and getting the complaince plate. From the time the dealership received it, it was about 4-5 working days but that time will probably depend on what "extras" are done to the car by the dealer.

yeh, when they say 10 Days it is "working" days. Thus around 2 weeks. Then if you need tinting or paint protection add a day or two.
So early October would be about right.

I've heard alot of rumour from dealers that they'll use the port/shipping as an excuse for delays - being involved with shipping through my largest clients, it's usually a far clutch for straws..

Considering the things are new, can't see how AQIS would hold them up...

Ordered LAte June.
Week 38 build - late sept.
Delivery forecast is first week of november...
Then I have to get the custom AV fitted to the rear seats, so add a couple of days...

ordered mine today, but the dealer told me the earliest delivery is around end of Nov 2011... so waiting........ waiting ......
dealer told me that my car is going to be Sept 2011 built......
hopefully the car can be here sooner rather than later.....
