Mushy Brakes

My 2014 X3 developed a braking issue after the dealer did a brake flush. It feels as though they did not bleed it properly and there might be air in the lines. I've taken it back twice and am told everything is fine, all X3's feel like that.
Pedal is mushy and must be pushed down further than before. Also, during emergency breaking the ABS does not engage. There is no indication like a CEL, Brake Warning Symbol, or anything that would indicate there is a problem.
Anyone else have same issues, or is it an issue at all?

Mushy is bad - but not being able to activate ABS is really bad.

Go back to dealer.

They really do not "flush" system like in a gearbox, but push out air, which has been assembled in brake pistons.

I take it they managed to let in more air in system.

Thanks for response. It's at the dealers now. I'll post results of what they find.

Very likely an error during the flush. Several possible causes: 1) air in brake lines 2) air in the ABS lines, which are difficult to bleed. 3) Backflow through the master cylinder causing damage to the seals.

Interested to learn what they say happened

I'd be willing to bet they got air in the ABS unit. That happened to me in my E46, same symptoms. They have to bleed the brakes while operating the ABS unit.
