2017 X3 iDrive Question
I purchased a preowned 2017 X3 2 days ago. It seems to be running iDrive 4. I was under the impression that all 2017 X3's in the USA would be running iDrive 5. Is this a mistake? Is it possible to upgrade the software? The manufacture date was July 26, 2016.

I will post pictures tomorrow. But the software has the main menu where you use the controller to scroll up and down. It does not have the tiles. I was thinking it should have the tiles since it's MY2017.

The only thing I can think is mine does not have navigation. It has the small screen size. But I've never read anywhere that was a requirement for iDrive5. Does yours have navi?

That sucks for me! Was under the impression somehow I could upgrade to idrive 5 because I kept reading ALL 2017 X3's would run idrive5. Anyone have any ideas if I'm able to even get Apple clarplay with what I have? |

The small screen does not support iD5. You need the Nav option to have the bigger controller and iD5
