Can anyone confirm the $45825 price for the X3 35i? After looking at the ordering guide, it looked like it would be $46025 inclusive of destination charges.

having driven the first line of F25, I must say, I like this facelift much better...so I'm happy I don't own the F25 anymore, otherwise I would have wanted to change to this version everyday...
I'm generally a fan of BMW's new design era of Grill/Headlight integration...it has made the vehicles more aggressive, bigger image and brand entrance power...

Very hard to justify the diesel without an Eco credit. Will take a few years to recoup the $2100 up charge over the 28i. The engine really doesn't seem special compared to the engine in the diesel GLK250 with 200hp/369ft lbs. The torque here (which is usually a good reason for a diesel) is only 280, 20 above the 28i. It had better get at least 42mpg hwy with those specs.

Still amuses me the US diesel is called the 28d where-as everywhere else in the world its called the 20d. Of course not trying to hide the fact its only a 4-cylinder engine while "28" has a long association with 6-cylinder engines. Same sort of spin-doctor nonsense with the new US-spec F15 X5 35d. Everywhere else in the world the engine is called the 30d. In this case they are of course not trying to hide the fact that while the 35d engine in E70 X5 35d was a twin-turbo engine, the 35d in the F15 X5 is the single turbo version - ie the 30d.

I'm confused about those seats. They do not appear to be the sport seats, but they also do not appear to be the 2014 standard, non-sport seats. They appear more aggressively bolstered than the X3. Any opinions on this?

Regards,

Dan.

Like the design, hate the absence of a naturally aspirated inline six!

The 228i, 328i, 428i, 528i, X1 S-drive 28i, and Z4 S-drive 28i are all 4-cylinders.

Nope, those are the sport seats. Looks exactly like what is in my 35i.

Yes are now, but prior to the relatively recent arrival of the N20 engine, it's my recollection that the number "28" has had a much longer association with 6 cylinder engines.

Yes, and before that the designations actually informed engine displacement. Point being, BMW isn't afraid to let marketing trump tradition.

I like the new styling
One minor thing I don't like, is the gloss black finish around the air vents.

I like it. I am glad that they repositioned the memory seat buttons to the top.

Agreed, a very odd policy that basically assume the US customer will be 'duped' by this when really they are very well informed and think exactly the same!
