Uk tyre storage bags
Anyone know a cheap source of tough polyethylene storage bags for tyres? For 17" 225/60s it needs to be 70x70x25cm absolute minimum - larger so they can close! They don't fit in the largest plastic sacks I can find. Ta.

Thanks Lotus. These would be great, if they exported. As so few people switch to winters here (http://m.whatcar.com/car-news/winter...repared/259257 ) the only ones I can find are expensive Audis. Will keep looking locally or have to ask a pond crosser to send them to me!

Buy a small store, looks better than a pile of tyres and you could put other stuff in it too

Would not risk £1500 of kit in a shed round here but thanks for the thought. Also, sheds are not airtight which some advice suggests prevents damage. Dealers who "hotel" sets store them in sealed plastic I am told - trying to get this stuff but no luck yet.

I believe the only thing you have to worry about is UV that breaks down the rubber. I don't believe they tyres are stored in a vacume which would be the only way to get the air out
You can get a steel vandal proof shed, depends on the space you have http://www.asgardsss.co.uk/detail.php?pro_code=BL4 - or others on the site |
