EGR Removed - EGR cooler still in place - Pipe seems leaking

Hello,

I bought 3 month ago an X3 (2005, 200 000 Kms), which had EGR removed via the stainless steel kit.

It seems exhaust gaz are leaking from the pipe (number 6 on the BMW diagramm http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/show...diagId=11_3678).
My question is : would it not make sense to remove the all EGR cooler when doing this modification, and just put a cap on the exhaust manifold(11627790219) ?
If yes, appreciate if one of you have a tutorial for this

Thanks for your time and thoughts, apologies if this subject has been covered already but I can not seem to find it on the internet.

Will put pictures later.

Here is the picture. I think exhaust leaks through the red circled pipe.
Thanks for your support !
