Every year in April the first cars from the MY <next year> leave the factory.
Next year April, the cosmetic changes (new lights / grill connecte) will be part of MY15. BMW always has the same LCI cycle for every model (3 years).

It is definitely next year (2014) usually the flip the changes on the X3 April 1st unless there is some type of issue and it goes out late.

Ask your dealer. They can see in their system when they can order the MY15.

do you think we will get the announcements/previews of the 2015 model earlier than April?

I would say so.

This is a spy shot is from April, and I'm assuming this is the 2015 model, because they are hiding something and the 2014 model didn't change a thing on the front end.

It also shows the headlights/grill are a close match to what is being given to the X4. Anyone else know anything more about the LCI on this model?

Im about to place and order for delivery of a X3 in March 2014, would the MY15 be released from April 2014 or available to order from April 2014? Would much prefer to get the updated one although initial enquiries with a dealer and they said they knew nothing (albeit trying to shift MY14 stock anyway)

The MY15 will be available to order before its actual production date. If its anything like this year, they start manufacturing the new model year at the end of March. So by the sounds of it you would probably get one of the last MY14 models off the production line. But they could change things up for the LCI update.

I would personally wait until the first MY15 US orders arrive as they have only a few weeks from ordering to delivery over there. If you order a custom build X3 after that happens, you ought to be guaranteed to get a MY15

What's the current delivery time from the US to the UK? Depending on when in March delivery is scheduled for, your X3 could be manufactured sometime in February or early March, which means pre-LCI if start of manufacture is the April 1 date that many expect.

Would that mean they are going to release details of update before they start letting people order them?

Probably, but not so soon that they kill demand for 2014s this early in the 2014MY run.

To date, BMW has announced nothing about an LCI for the F25 X3. Everything that has been written, my words included, is nothing but conjecture. But BMW does have patterns, so it is informed speculation.

Bingo - thanks for these, not sure how I missed them. That's definitely the new joined grill/headlight look of the X4/5.

I for one really hope they do something nice with the interior. Definitely not BMWs worst interior but could use some updates in terms of materials and finish. Hoping for more along the lines of the 3-Series/X5 but I would imagine they will be waiting for the 2017/2018 update for that big of an overhaul.
