Never used one on any of my X3s. Too much plastic. I have a Thule towbar mounted one.

Could you post a picture Ranger 6?
On my 5 series i had a roof rack with thule bike carriers. Not sure if i should buy some x3 roof bars and continue that route (x3 is a lot taller than a 5),or look at rear mounted bike solutions

I just got myself my first BMW(G30) and need some suggestions/ideas on how you guys who might be into biking get around with your bikes. Thanks in advance.

You may want to ask for suggestions in the 5 series (G30) forum, this the the X3 (F25) forum.
