DayVue, works really well, although it does show reflections which takes time to get used to. Doesn't wash out it sun like the anti glare films do.

So, what solution gets rid of the anti-glare compound then? I don't want to damage the screen, but I assume it is best to remove the anti-glare compound gently instead of scrubbing it away?

Use a polish, I used meguiars plastix, folded up microfiber and a q tip for the edges. take the screen out of the car first.

The part of taking the screen out will likely be a project I will do when the wife is away for the weekend. Shouldn't be too bad to do

and I was also now successful in applying the Novus Dayvue screen protector after removing the anti-glare coating on the screen.

I found the best way to keep the screen in excellent condition is to use 303 cockpit spray on it. I've done so with both my 135i & X3 Nav screen, however you must wipe off of excess with a good quality microfibre cloth.

This happened during routine cleaning.

Not sure what to do. New screen is $2k. I have an email into the dealer to see if they can do anything.

I can't believe how fragile that screen is.

Anyone? Have seen remedies of removing all of the anti-glare and maybe placing a screen protector / anti-glare screen. I found solutions from Lexard and Vikuiti.

anyone? thoughts?

Anti glare screen protector works to cover scratches. I purchased a screen cover for a tablet and trimmed it to dimentions of nav screen. After applying, looks as good as new.
