35i gas mileage - HWY

So noticed on my first trip to the shore a few weeks ago I was getting 30.5 mpg. Today I was about 5-6mpg less. Only changes were golf tee mod, and it was hotter out - AC on.
Half way I reversed the golf tee mod to stock and no change. Could the temps be that strong on mileage?
What are you guys getting with the 35i?

Yep, the air conditioner in the wife's 328i changes the mileage dramatically in the summer.

Wow, in my audi q7 I didn't notice a change with the AC on. Didn't expect that.

If you us the AC, you are bound to get 20% less

And eco pro 10-15% less

Our 35i has under 1000 miles. On just highway mileage with air (FL) we get just under 25 mpg and are happy with that. Only use to get 26 with our old CR-V.

My worst case highway, 75-80 mph & A/C = 26 mpg, add in traffic jams and some city = 24.8 for a 550 mile trip.
My best case ~ 70 mph, mostly no A/C = 29 mpg. Speed + A/C is a big difference.

I never get CLOSE to 30mpg anytime. I get 17 in the city and 24 on the road. Average 18.5.

Sucks from my 36 mpg A3 TDI.

Generally around 20 mpg in town. Averaged 24.5 driving from Arizona to Idaho, fully loaded at Interstate speeds of 75-80 mph.

You all get so much better mpg than me... I average 16.9mpg on my 2012! Granted I'm in NYC but a lot of the driving is highway too.

My 2009 got about 19-20mpg.

My norm is mid 20's (24 - 25.5). Recently got as good as 29.5 on a 300 mile road trip where i never went above 75 (Holiday weekend travel so no need to speed with all the cops out, my radar detector went nuts a lot that trip). I was happy to see that #... But that is literally almost all highway the entire trip. I did run the AC the entire trip, had it on lower than 70 degree's for the entire trip too...

Recent 1400 mile trip, hot 90-105 degrees F, mostly set to Auto 70 degrees AC, mostly freeway with local also, computer says an average of 27.5 mpg for trip. Despite what I've read here about weak air conditioning no problem at 105 degrees.

I just did a 515 mile all day trip. Charlotte thru WV to Pittsburgh to Wheeling, WV. Rain storms, numerous traffic jams, several costing 10-20 minutes of creeping along, fun runs in the mountains, Pittsburgh city traffic, 95 degree temps and A/C all the way, and a few runs to 90 to get away from idiots. I still managed 25.3 mpg, some even with the 10% ethanol blend. Very pleased with that.
