Contact list just shows telephone numbers no names

OK, I've tried to disconnect my phone and reconnect it to the car but my contact list is only populated by the telephone number not the names?

Using the iDrive menu I selected display last name first but that doesn't work... what I changed is beyond me... any help would be appreciated.

it could be the sim card in your phone

delete bluetooth connection from your phone and car's bluetooth link and readd

In my Audi I'd lose one thing at a time, first call history then phone book, etc.. till I replace my sim card, then I get everything back

I've tried everything... nadda, my contact list is just a bunch of telephone numbers.
