X3 Sport Seat vs 5-series Sport/Multi Contour seats

Ok, the only thing I'm anxious about with my new X3 (on the truck to Cali) is that I'm so used to and comfortable in my 528i sport/multi-contour seats that I hope I'm comfortable. Being 6'3" and 210 lbs I fit like a glove in my E60 sport seats. I know going in that the X3 isn't going to be quite as comfortable or adjustable, I only hope I adjust. 12 years ago I felt like I was perfectly molded to fit in my 2001 E46 330i sport but as 12 years goes by, so does the inevitable increase in well, my fat ass. haha.

Seriously, anyone with similar experience changing over? Similar body size comments would be most welcomed. Probably just silly nerves but what else can I think about while I wait!

Thanks and have a great weekend!

Seems to me if you get an M Sport or the SAV Sport Package you'll get the good seats, which I think would be pretty similar to the ones in your E60. I'm just guessing of course, but maybe sit in a couple at the dealer and see what you think?

i'm about the same weight, but shorter, and i find the x3 sport seats quite comfortable.

I find the sport seats a little restrictive and I typically leave the lumbar setting at their widest setting.

Came to the X3 (35i with Msport) from a 2008 X5 with multi contoured seats. The seats are significantly different. Altho' the X3 seats are very comfortable, they feel significantly narrower, especially with the side bolsters fully engaged. I'm 5'10" and 197 and they feel more like sports seats than the X5 lounge chairs. No motorised back articulation, powered thigh support or powered headrest height adjustment, and the headrests are harder and do not have the adjustable side supports. X5 seats great for relaxed cruising, and also snoozing, while the X3 seats are great for sporty driving.

I'm happy the X3 has the thigh extender for my long legs and definately need the side bolsters and lumbar setting as low as possible. This is based on multiple sit ins and test drives. Of course as I said, I knew going in they wouldn't be quite as comfy

Seats

I'm 6' 5" about 200lbs, and I used to drive an e61 with sport seats. After a while the f25 with sport seats feels better than the e61 the main difference is the angle between the accelerator and floor my right leg doesn't get as tired as in the e61. The F25 sport seat will feels ok, still liked the Q5 seats more the BMW is ok. I drive about a 100 miles a day, and enjoy every mile.
