Question about rims/tire sizes

Hi guys,

Just Got a fully loaded 2011 X3 28i for the wifey

My question is, can my 2012 335i F30 sport line rims and tires fit the X3?

Its these wheels I'm talking about:

18" Double Spoke Style 397 (Sport Line wheels)
18 x 8" ET34

Thanks looking forward to responses!

That ET of 34 might be hard on the wheel bearings. The recommended ET for the F25 is 42-45.

Well, the tires definitely won't fit as the f30 has a lower rolling circumference than the x3 (which matches 7 series)

I've seen an x1 with my same rims and tires (the style 397)...

Would something like spacers make it work?

I got this info from wheel-size.com:

Rims for BMW X3 2011

Bolt pattern 5x120
Diameter: 17'' - 20'';
Width (inches): 7.5 - 8.5;
Offset (mm): 32 - 43.

So would my 335 f30 rims/tires fit on the x3?

18" Double Spoke Style 397 (Sport Line wheels)
18 x 8" ET34

Thanks fellas!

Spacers would throw out the offset even more. I think put the wheels on As is, and get new tires

Thanks for the response. My goal is not to buy new tires! 3 of The tires right now on the x3 need to be replaced. So I was thinking why not throw on the 4 brand new rims and tires from my 335 onto the x3.

From the pain of buying E83 RIMS off Ebay and then fitting winter tyres, then on fitting finding out that they foul on the brake callipers.
Everything might look ok i.e. Rim size, offset etc. But you'll only know if they fit when you try. There doesn't appear to be an official measure for the space inside the wheel (rim profile) to allow clearance for the brakes.
I didn't want to fit spacers/extended wheel bolts.
So I ended up taking the winter tyres off the E83 rims and putting them on my F25 17" wheels. Off loaded the E83 rims at a loss
Now looking for cheap F25 17" wheels on ebay.....

PS the winter tyres were E83 size. i.e. 235/55/17, slightly smaller rolling radius but fine for the 5 months I used them for.
