Passenger Chair Squeaking
So we just had our creaking panoramic moonroof replaced and thats now fixed. NOW whenever I sit in the passenger seat and we turn, the chair squeaks and groans. Even when I lower the seat all the way (we have sport seats) it is still just as bad. I weigh around 185-190, but that still shouldn't be a problem, should it? Has anyone else dealt with something like this?

Silicone grease underneath fixed mine, done by the dealer.
The cause was the straps/suspension under the seat squad rubbing against the underside of the squab.

If you lean either way, do you hear the creaking noise? It could be the leather rubbing against the hard plastic at the base (either to your left or right side where your bum sits), so just a couple of inches in front of the backrest of the seat.
I had it on my drivers side, so whenever I got in and shuffled around putting the seat belt on etc, it creaked. I have since placed some felt in between the leather and the plastic to stop the noise. I know the issue could be pretty much anything, but I thought I would share my concern / fix in case yours is the same. |
