Goodyear Eagle LS2 All-Seasons on 19" 309s in the Snow

So after driving in a few small snow storms here in Chicago, I've evaluated that the Goodyear Eagle LS2 all-season run flat tires for the 19" 309s are just the worst all-seasons that were ever put on a car. Driving in D in NORMAL still meant I had to be EXTREMELY judicious about throttle inputs, especially when pulling out of side streets, driveways, and alleys. The throttle was steering the car, and then the car was steering itself. I fear for my safety, and I cannot advocate for these wheels and tires in the snow anymore. I don't care how much they cost at this point; I'm getting a set of 18" winters, and that's that.

Why not the 19" Pirelli Sotto Zeros? Are your 309's staggered? Mine are. I like the wheels and Pirellis I copied from someone her and got from The Tire Rack (though they goofed the balance). This said, we've only had the slightest bit of snow (which I attribute to having gone for the Winter setup), so can't evaluate performance.

I agree, although they are better than summers, they aren't the best. I find Goodyear all seasons to be too hard for the winter.

Needless to say, Blizzacks are going on my 19s next winter.

The dealership ordered the staggered setup by accident so I had them swapped a few months later for the all seasons free of charge. The squared set came from the factory with the Goodyears. I loved the Continental ContiProContact SSRs with the staggered setup, and in retrospect I'd have kept them and just gotten a set of winters, because now I'm stuck with an all-season for dry season that doesn't do any season very well at all.

I'd forgotten about that -- and should have realized it was a square set up due to the All Seasons. Sounded like a good choice at the time, too bad the Goodyears didn't work out!

I was looking at the tirerack for 17" 'AA' traction all seasons for 28i. Found none .
