mirrors and reversing

Hi everyone,

my problem is this;
up until the last couple of days, when I put the x3 into reverse the side door mirrors would turn down to give me a better view of the rear corners.

they have since stopped doing this! could this be a setting somewhere?
or does this sound like a trip to the stealship....

On the driver side door, slide the switch that is in front of the window switches to the left.

In the US (left side drive), the rear view mirror selection switch has to be moved to the left for the mirror(s) to adjust downward when backing. My car only adjusts the right side mirror down though. Not sure if this is normal?
