2 week report
It has now been 2 weeks since I picked up the X3 at the Performance Center, and drove it home. I have 2,000 miles and so far no problems at all.
It is a totally different animal than my old 05 X3. This one is much more refined and luxurious. It rides better, it is much quieter, and it is more powerful. The gas mileage is great in comparison, too. I am seeing 27 on the highway and 23-24 in town with Sunoco Ultra 93. The old one got 22-24 on the highway. I took it to my dealer today to have the reg and plates done. (I now have a front plate on it..Boooo I wish I could have registered it in SC to avoid that!) I had mud flaps installed, and got the rubber floor mats, too. I am going to get the chrome exhaust tips. Anyone have pics of theirs to share? Last edited by Botwin; 11-22-2011 at 04:37 PM.. |

Ever since I got my X3, i have noticed so many more E83 X3's on the road - i guess I just notice BMW X's more than I used to...
glad you are enjoying the upgrade, looks great in DSB
